The Health Awareness Camp focused on menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and preventive care for women and adolescent girls in rural areas of Theni and Dindigul. Over 2,000 participants received guidance on safe hygiene practices, early detection of health issues, and nutritional needs. The sessions were led by trained health educators and community nurses who provided demonstrations and addressed common misconceptions. Many women expressed improved understanding of menstrual care and gained confidence to discuss health openly. The camp also distributed sanitary kits to promote safe and affordable hygiene options. Community leaders supported outreach, helping ensure strong participation and positive reception. Overall, the initiative significantly reduced stigma and strengthened women’s health literacy.
